We're a Dutch/American couple living in the quaint little town of Gouda (like the cheese) in the Netherlands.

We met on the bus to work on March 1st, 2001. My brother-from-another-mother Mutz had told me there was a very cute girl in our building who would be perfect for me. Sitting on the bus I saw a girl with a large purple hat and without having met her, I just knew.

Later that week the trains went on strike and I was stranded. I asked her if I could stay at her place. She said 'sure' and I never left. So we actually moved in together before we started dating. Nowadays I always joke, he who can't flirt, moves in!

And what a good decision that was. On July 13, 2005 we were married at the Redstone Inn, on Redstone Boulevard, in Redstone, Colorado and life's a holiday!
Since then, we've been joined by Izzy, our wild and mischievous dog, and Cooper, our wonderful and beautiful son. Life is indeed a holiday, whether we travel to far away places or go for a walk around town.
